Do I have to be in your area or can you work with me remotely?

We work with clients virtually, so you don’t need to live nearby. All of our meetings take place by video conference, and we use secure online tools to share information and stay connected. This allows us to work with clients anywhere in the U.S. while keeping things convenient and eliminating unnecessary travel.

How much does it cost to work with you?

Financial planning fees start at $3,000, with the final fee based on the complexity of your financial situation and the scope of the work.If you choose ongoing investment management, our fee is based on the amount of assets we manage for you. Our tiered fee is 1.00% on the first $1 million, 0.75% on assets from $1 million to $5 million, and 0.60% on assets above $5 million.We’ll discuss your specific fees with you upfront, so you’ll know what to expect before deciding to work with us.

How much homework is involved in getting started?

There is some homework, but we promise not to make it painful. We’ll need information about your financial life, and yes, that includes some documents. But we’ve designed the process to keep the paperwork and back-and-forth to a minimum.Most of the process is digital, so you can upload documents securely and, when possible, link your accounts directly to our planning software.  A little work up front helps us do a much better job for you, and we’ll make the process as easy and organized as possible.

Where are my investment accounts held?

For clients who choose to have us manage their investments, we use Altruist as our preferred investment custodian. You’ll have secure online and mobile access to your accounts and investments.
